5 weeks after Round 1 of hCG
Hi gang! Just wanted to update you on how the program is going. I haven’t written daily. I think that would have been tedious in this portion of the protocol. So I’m going to give you a summary of each section and share with you what I’ve learned.
3 weeks No carbs & No sugars… Just after the last shot, I continued the 500 cal diet for three more days. Remember that it takes 72 hours for the hCG to leave your system. If you eat bad while it is still circulating in your body it has the opposite effect and will back you GAIN weight. So behave yourself those last three days. I was amazed at how easy it was to transition into the no carbs no sugars (ncns) three weeks. After having so little to eat for so long my hunger just didn’t return as I thought it would. I starting adding eggs and a few days later some turkey bacon into my breakfast routine. I kept eating the good stuff of the diet and just added proteins. Man was I happy to drink milk again. lol I continued to lost a pound the day after the 72 hours after shots and then a pound a week on ncns Pretty cool. I do recommend staying away from fatty things. Unlike the Atkins diet I did years before this is a healthy clean type of eating that you can continue the rest of your life. I made the mistake of eating the big link kielbasa type Italian sausage. OMG I thought I was going to die of stomach pains. The gas build up in my stomach made it feel like my ribs were going to rip apart from the inside out. Maalox and a couple of other antacids later I was finally able to relax. Stay away from fatty foods. I can’t express that enough.
3 weeks anything…. by the time I got to this point I was so looking forward to carbs that I thought I knew everything I needed to know. Big mistake. Read the protocol over and over. Never assume you know what you are doing. lol We tend to make thing sup in our minds. Like me… time now that I can eat carbs right? wrong… Dr. S says that we can gradually add carbs back into our diet. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I practically went into a carbohydrate coma. lol Well, no medically but stupidly. My nice little daily weight started climbing. We aren’t supposed to go higher than 2 pounds from our finishing weight or less than 2 pounds from our finishing weight. With my 2 pound loss on ncns I was cocky. I jumped up 5 pounds. Don’t freak out though. The steak day really works. I just got back to business the day I gained and drank tons of water, had a steak and then an apple. Bam! I was back down 2 pounds and then over the next week the 3rd pound cam back off. After the steak day I simply listened to my body and not my mind to decide what to eat. I’m so proud of my choices. I’m really proud that now I am to the point that I can eat what I want and what I want is smaller portions of the stuff I used to eat.
Hubby… Okay, I was the guinea pig. Now that my husband sees I didn’t die from the medication, lol he decided to start the protocol too. Fine, I do all the work and he reeps the rewards of my knowledge and experience. hehe. He’s on his second week and has lost over 12 pounds already. He’s a big guy and as usual, men do great on weight loss. Men don’t have to pause the injections for a menstrual cycle and thus I think the process is much more efficient. He does have to skip one day a week to avoid the 35th day immunity build up. He did seem a bit more hungry than I was on the hCG. Possibly because of the greater body mass and being on the same dosage I was on it is a bit less effective. Overall he’s doing great if not a bit more whiny about it. I was thrilled and thankful to have weight coming off. He is pissed if it’s not as much as he thought it should be. Tip: Don’t see a day without weight loss as a “lost” day that you shouldn’t have had to work so hard for nothing. It all adds up in the end.. or subtracts in the end… lol However you want to think about it.
This is really a dream come true. I’ve fit into my old mid-range clothes and it was a blast throwing out all my fat clothes. I’m psyched and ready for the second round of hCG. I should be able to start around the 20th of June so watch for my progress updates.
HUGS!! Claudia
hCG Day 70 – Three Weeks post injections
hCG protocol Day 70
I took my last injection on Thursday and continued the 500 cal diet through Sunday. My family and I had a yardsale on Saturday and I have been absolutely exhausted since then. Not to mention what my sunburn did to my body. It was the first really hot day this year and I was drinking so much water I feel like it’s taken til today to get everything back to normal. I lost my final pound and I’m happy to say that I reached my 30 pounds lost!!! From 212 to 182 in 70 days.
Now begins the next phase where I have three weeks no carbs and no sugars but I can eat as much of everything else as I want. I can’t really see myself as going for broke as you would think I would want. Pigging out just doesn’t appeal to me. My stomach is so much flatter and I am filled up so much sooner. From what I read the key to this time is learning to listen to my body and how to eat right. It says that it’s ok to add fats back in sparingly but that adding carbohydrates back in at the same time would allow the fats to deposit again. I sure as hell don’t want to do that! lol So I’m taking it slow and behaving. I can last three weeks. I just did over two months right! It’s a mental thing.
I’ll check in with yo again soon..

hCG Day 65 – I think it’s time
hCG Day 65 of protocol Injection 44
Ok well I bow to the Doctor. lol My weight stayed the exact same 184.4 all week since that last drop. I wanted to get to 30 pounds lost this Round. I did an apple day one more time yesterday to see if I could equalize the protein shifts and lost 0.8. I’ll do the injection one more day to make it 45 and see. I’ll still have the three days to do the 500 cal while the hCG leaves my system over the weekend. I weighed 183.2 today so that brings my total to 28.8 pounds lost total.
Talk to you again soon!

hCG Day 62 – Three days to take effect
hCG Day 62
Injection #40 Saturday April 24th
I increased my water and didn’t have any carbs. Yes, I was able to resist the goldfish last night. lol Add that the the hCG have 72 hours to take effect again and wham! I lost 2.8 pounds. Three even if you count the .2 I finally lost yesterday. I’m convinced I’d be losing more regularly if I was a man. We’ll see. Looks like my husband is finally convinced and he wants to start the protocol. I know the weight is just going to melt off of him.
So today was decision day and I think you know what I’ve decided. I’m going to continue the shots. Most likely just another week. I have plenty of medicine left and it doesn’t expire until May 5th. I’ll watch my weight each day and see if I start to plateau or get hungry. Those are the signs of immunity. I will admit. I’m ready to give it a rest for a while. It’s such a strict diet and though I can’t have carbs for three weeks just being able to each more protein will make me happy. lol However, what drives me more is losing the weight. I’m so motivated now I don’t want to lose that momentum. Time for me to re-read the next phase information and get ready for that. Oh btw todays weight loss brings me to 27.6 pounds lost since February 22nd.
Grins, Claudia
