Here is my second tip for you to help make your own Mother’s Day 2008 a happy one. I have two words for you ladies! Gift Certificates! Now I realize that in “olden days” it was ill mannered to give gift certificates. Let’s get up to date now. With our busy life styles, the shear fact that we bother to get someone a gift is good manners enough. Now I’m a bit of a craft freak so my real present, though sometimes not as appreciated as much as I would like, is the hand made cards I put the “easy gift” into.
So what do we do when they are online? Simply, print out the confirmation sheet. Minus any credit card info that might be there of course. lol Thank God for Copy/ Paste! Then you have something to give. Whether real plastic or printed paper from the computer to prove the gift certificate is real a noce card is a must. The part that I think that would make todays Manner Divas cringe is handing it to the person in the tacky cardboard envelopes they come in. lol
If your recipient is only available via email then be sure to send an email of your own or make a phone call so you can say the Gift Coded Email Certificate is n it’s way. Anyway you look at it you are giving or getting what you want!! My daughter will be the first to pipe in and ask for gift certificates for anytime she has a present coming. What girl, no matter the age doesn’t like to shop?
